What makes this guitar special: Produced for only a short period of time between 1991 & 1998, this gorgeous Limited Edition 12-String is number 948 in a production run of only 1000 guitars. The guitar shows off some really pretty birdseye figuring set against a beautiful Fireglo finish. The checkered binding & gold plexi pickguard with Tom Petty signature really round out the package. This model rarely comes up for sale, but when they do they're gone fast, and this one is truly superb. This is a one-owner guitar that was just recently acquired as part of a 40-piece collection of extremely clean guitars.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition & very clean with only mild surface scratches. Professionally gone over & set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds amazing!
Neck: Beautifully figured maple neck with white binding & black micro-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl 'shark tooth' inlays. Frets are in perfect condition with no wear. Slotted headstock with vintage style Ric Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. 1 3/4" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods work fine.
Body: Neck-thru design with solid maple wings & checkered top binding. Trapeze tailpiece with 12-saddle adjustable bridge. Split-level gold plexi pickguard with Tom Petty Limited Edition logo. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 7.3 oz.
Pickups: Vintage style "toaster top" single coils. Dual volume & tone controls with boost blend; 3-way toggle switch & mono output. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original vintage style hardshell case included along with Certificate of Authenticity, original owner's manual & polish cloth!
