Description

What makes this banjo special:  A well crafted 5-String by Lo Gordon of Brevard, NC.  Features an open back with a chunky mahogany neck & produces a rich, superb tone.  Professionally set up by our luthier & ready to play straight out of the case!

Cosmetic Condition:  Very good condition overall with some minor wear - small chip in the headstock; various nicks & dings throughout the instrument; some surface scratches.

Neck:  Chunky mahogany neck with white side-dots.  19-fret ebony fingerboard with pearloid diamond inlays.  Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear.  Railroad spikes at the 7th & 9th frets.  Mother of pearl rooster & stars headstock inlays.  Waverly geared tuners with ivoroid buttons in perfect working condition.  1 3/8" nut width; 26 1/4" scale length.

Body:  11" diameter Remo head with maple rim & diamond marquetry.  It's a bit difficult to say for sure what species of wood makes up the tone ring, but it appears to be rosewood or perhaps even walnut.  No Knot tailpiece & nickel arm rest.  Banjo weighs 5 lbs 12.2 oz.

Case:  Hardshell case included.
