Description
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition with a cool look as the white finish has aged into more of a cream color. There are some very minor nicks & dings along with mild surface scratches & light finish checking, but overall the guitar is in great shape. It originally had a Bigsby tremolo, but was replaced with a Cadillac "G" tailpiece. An extra chrome strap button was also added to the neck heel. The guitar has been professionally set up by us with a fresh pack of strings & low action, so it plays & sounds wonderful!
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with gold sparkle binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl hump block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with gold sparkle Gretsch logo & truss rod cover. Grover Rotomatic tuners with "G" Arrow logo. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cutaway, hollow maple body with bound F-holes. Unoriginal Cadillac "G" tailpiece with floating, adjustable roller bridge. The "ghost" image of the previous Bigsby can be seen in the white finish under the current tailpiece. Gold plexi pickguard with Gretsch & Falcon logos. The pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs about 8 1/2 lbs.
Pickups: Gretsch FilterTrons with gold bezels. Master volume & tone controls along with individual pickup volume controls, all with jeweled "G" Arrow knobs; 3-way pickup selector switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The bottom latch is missing its clasp, but otherwise the case is in good shape. This is an early White Falcon, manufactured before Certificates of Authenticity were issued, so this doesn't come with one.
