Description
What makes this guitar special: A dynamite player with a well-worn "vintage" look. Some guitar manufacturers purposely "relic" their guitars at the factory, but the wear & tear on this beauty is all legit, done by the previous owner who played the heck out of it over the years, giving it a really cool vibe. Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash & finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Slim tapered mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. The original Kluson Deluxe tuners were replaced with Grover Rotomatics which are all in perfect working condition. The original nut was replaced with graphite. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.
Body: Solid mahogany body with flame maple Plus Top & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with nickel hardware. The original saddles have been replaced with graphite. Because the guitar is a Plus Top there are no holes drilled for the pickguard, which is missing anyway. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 7.7 oz. - great weight!
Pickups: Gibson USA "double black" exposed coil humbuckers with cream bezels. Bridge - 15.42K ohms; Neck - 8.38K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch & nickel jackplate. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Gibson USA hardshell case included. The case is in similar condition to the guitar.
