Description
What makes this guitar special: This one came to us as a bit of a rescue, a bit neglected with no COA, lost in the cold without case and no place to call home. Our in-house luthiers have brought it back to life, with a fresh fret leveling that ensures great playability up and down the length of the neck, and an expert setup with spot-on intonation. It plays absolutely fantastic, with brilliant resonance thanks to the solid ash body, and thanks to the Bing Cherry Transparent finish, it looks every bit as great as it plays. While the COA is a replacement, this guitar has been verified by the Custom Shop and will ship in a nice Fender tweed case, ready to play from the moment it hits your doorstep.
Cosmetic condition: Overall good shape, with some wear and tear throughout. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs present, with visible finish checking throughout. The pickguard and tremolo cover are replacements, and the originals are not included. The frets have been taken down quite a bit in order to level them, but still have a good amount of life in them.
Body: Contoured, double cutaway solid ash body in bing cherry transparent finish with 3-ply pearloid pickguard and string-through 2 point tremolo bridge with individually adjustable saddles.
Weight: 8 lb, 0.7 oz
Neck: C-shaped solid birdseye maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Black Fender logo and Custom Shop logo on the back of the headstock. Chrome sealed tuners work great. Maple fingerboard is in terrific shape, and while frets have been taken down, they still have a good amount of life left in them. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional.
Electronics: Original Fender Custom Shop single coil pickups (Neck-5.71k ohms, Middle-5.75k ohms, Bridge-5.80k ohms) with 5-way pickup selector switch and white skirted knobs, 2x tone, 1x volume.
Case: Fender tweed hard shell case included, along with replacement Certificate of Authenticity.
