Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a wonderfully resonant Samick hollow body with equally great tone and playability. The body itself displays gorgeous figuring between the cuts of quilted maple used for the back and sides, each of which is slightly different in hue, giving it a distinct yet complementary color scheme, especially when you add in the aged binding and rich yellow top. The pickups carry many of the inherent acoustic characteristics of its construction, with a big, full and warm response in the neck and smooth yet articulate bridge, all of which has the traditional dry and woody tone hollow bodies are known for. Outside of some finish checking and a few marks here and there, it is also still largely in great shape, especially for its age, so it still looks almost as good as it plays and sounds.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does show various small dings, dents, chips, scuffs, scratches, and other forms of aging and wear such as finish cracks (there is one that runs the length of the treble side that stems from the jack and a few others here and there) and hardware tarnish, but for a 15-year-old guitar, its still in pretty great shape. There is a small chip in the nut just to the left of the A string but doesn’t affect playability. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
