Description
What makes this guitar special: As classic as they come, this P-Bass boasts a familiar sound and feel, with a slightly more defined aesthetic. The Candy Apple Red finish looks ultra-slick next to its 3-ply black pickguard – a nice step away from the traditional white. The split-coil pickup is everything you’d hope for from a Precision Bass: powerful low end thump, great low to midrange punch, and solid top end articulation. It shows a few nicks and dings here and there, which means it was well-loved and played often, and also means you won’t have to worry about putting any marks in it yourself. Can you say all-around workhourse? Plus, it comes with a pro setup and a hardshell case so it plays as well as it travels.
Condition: This bass is in very good condition overall. It does show various scratches, nicks, dings, dents, chips, hardware oxidation, and other forms of normal wear, but is still in great shape for its age. The frets are only lightly worn and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.
Body: Double cutaway contoured alder body in Candy Apple Red finish. 3-ply black pickguard. Fixed bridge with adjustable saddles. Knurled chrome control knobs.
Neck: Medium depth C shape maple neck and maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Fender open-gear chrome tuning machines with clover keys. 1 5/8” nut width. 34” scale.
Electronics: Standard split-coil Precision Bass pickup. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control.
Weight: 8 lbs 11.7 oz
Playability/Sound: The neck should be an easy and familiar transition for most bass players who prefer a skinnier nut and medium in-hand feel. The split-coil pickup is everything you’d imagine out of a P-Bass: punchy with solid low end with great upper register articulation.
Case: Includes unoriginal hardshell case.
