Description
What makes this guitar special: This guitar is part of a limited production that came out of Fender Japan after high demand for the original mid-90s version started to peak. This model was only produced for a few years, making it increasingly difficult to find. Here is a fantastic example of one that was very well taken care of. It shows very few marks visually, and even on closer inspection displays only minor dings and light surface scratches throughout. The pickups have a ton of character, both of which have an absolute ton of vintage-style jangle with enough body to provide some meat without losing any articulation. The neck plays very easily, and with its 1 9/16” nut width and short scale, will be perfect for players who prefer extended reach and mastery over their instrument, as well as players with smaller hands. In addition, our techs have given it a great setup so it plays beautifully for the next owner.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It shows only a few minor dings and light surface scratches, but is otherwise in fantastic shape for a guitar that’s over 10 years old. The frets show only very light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should. The case is only in good condition, with a few tears here and there, but still stays shut just fine.
Body: Double cutaway offset basswood body in Fiesta Red finish. 3-ply white pearloid pickguard. Fender dynamic vibrato bridge with adjustable saddles.
Neck: Modern C shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Vintage-style tuning machines. 1 9/16” nut width. 24” scale.
Electronics: Vintage-style single-coil in the neck and humbucker in the bridge. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control. 2 x 3-position on/off and phase in/out switches.
Weight: 8 lbs 7.3 oz
Playability/Sound: The slimmer nut width and modern C shape make the neck on this guitar very easy to move around and will be welcomed by players who have smaller hands or prefer a bit more reach over the fingerboard. The pickups have a ton of jangle in both positions, with a bit more full-bodied and rounded response in the neck, and mild-body bite and chime in the bridge.
Case: Includes chipboard case.
