What makes this guitar special: Carefully crafted by the master luthiers in the Gibson Custom Shop, these R8’s are phenomenal reproductions of the original 58 Standards. Every detail, from the chunky neck to the oversprayed binding is accounted for, with a set of Burstbuckers that provide searing hot, full-bodied tone. It’s been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age, with some surface scratches and dings throughout, pickwear on the pickguard, and some mild surface level buckle rash. There is some light fretwear, visible oxidation on the hardware, and some scuffs around the edges of the headstock. Cosmetically, this one is an 8/10.
Body: One-piece mahogany body in cherry finish with bound maple top in tobacco sunburst finish. Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece with off-white colored pickup bezels and pickguard.
Weight: 8 lb, 11.1 oz
Neck: Chunky one-piece mahogany neck (with headstock wings) with black side dots and mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays. Black headstock overlay with pearl Gibson logo and gold Les Paul model logo. Gibson Deluxe vintage-style tuners function perfectly. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod functions normally.
Electronics: Dual Burstbucker humbuckers (Neck-7.56K ohms, Bridge-7.97K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and vintage-style tophat knobs, 2x volume, 2x tone.
Case: Unoriginal Gibson hard shell case included, along with original Certificate of Authenticity.
