Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a great player’s SG that’s already been broken in, but still plays and sounds fantastic. The humbuckers are hot and crisp, with articulate bite in the bridge and chunk in the neck. The neck itself is easy to move around and is the perfect blend of a C shape and a SlimTaper, making it widely accessible for a variety of players. Otherwise, it’s a pretty straight-forward SG with all-around great playability and tone.
Condition: This SG is in very good condition overall. It does have various nicks, dings, dents, chips, scuffs, and scratches, but still sounds and plays great. Two of the control knobs have small chips off the top rings but still work just fine. The frets show only light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway contoured mahogany body in Cherry finish. 4-ply black pickguard. Chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Black top hat control knobs with silver inserts.
Neck: Medium depth D shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Vintage-style deluxe tuning machines with tulip keys. 1 11/16” nut width. 24 3/4 “ scale.
Electronics: 490R humbucker in the neck and 490T humbucker in the bridge.
2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.
Weight: 6 lbs 14.4 oz
Playability/Sound: The neck is easy and comfortable and should be an easy transition for players who prefer both C and SlimTaper shapes. The humbuckers are hot and crisp, especially in the bridge, with a bit more meat and chunk in the neck.
Case: Includes semi-hardshell case.
