Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a killer reissue Stratocaster from top to bottom. Inspired by the classic look and sound of the highly desired early 60’s Strats, the 62 Reissue is a wonderful homage that captures the vibe of a guitar from Fender’s glory years, except without the huge price tag. The Vintage ’62 pickups round out the experience, capturing the quintessential punchy Stratocaster tones that players have come to expect. Plus, it’s still in great shape for a 10-year-old guitar, comes with its original hardshell case, and a professional setup so all you have to do is pull it out of the case and tune it up.
Condition: This guitar is in very good, if not better, condition. It does show some light surface scratches, and a few minor chips, nicks, and dings, but is very clean for a used instrument. The frets show very light fret wear and have tons of playing life left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway contoured alder body in 3-color sunburst. 3-ply aged white pickguard. Aged white top hat knobs and pickup covers. Vintage style synchronized tremolo bridge. Single-ply aged white back plate.
Neck: C shape Maple neck (.85” at the 1st fret, .90” at the 12th fret). 21 fret rosewood fingerboard with white clay dot inlays and white side dots. Aged nickel vintage-style tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale length.
Electronics: Fender American Vintage ’62 single coil pickups. Master volume and dual tone controls. 3-way pickup selector switch. An additional factory supplied 5-way toggle switch is included.
Weight: 8 lbs. 4.2 oz.
Playability/Sound: The C shaped neck is very comfortable to hold and should be instantly recognizable for a large number of players. The pickups capture the quintessential Stratocaster sound, with plenty of punch, a strong emphasis on the midrange, and a fair amount of the unique “quack” Strats are known for having.
Case: Includes original hard shell case.
