Description

What makes this guitar special: Simple and yet quite versatile, the Godin A6 takes a simple design and injects elements of both acoustic and electric builds into one great hybrid. The body and neck both feel similar to an electric, but at a nice and light five and a half pounds, giving it all-around great playability. It has some inherent acoustic tonal qualities that are quite impressive considering it is just a simple chambered body and cedar top. Either way, its characteristics beautifully translate with the help of its built-in preamp and 3-band EQ, not only presenting a clean, transparent tone, but also allowing players to get their amplified sound dialed in with ease. In addition, this guitar comes with its original gigbag and a professional setup so all you have to do is tune up and roll.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It shows only minor dings and surface scratches, but is otherwise super clean, especially for a 10-year-old guitar. The frets show only very light wear if any and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions perfectly.

Body: Single cutaway chambered body with a solid cedar top in Natural Semi-Gloss finish. Single-ply cream top binding. Rosewood bridge with compensated saddle. White plastic bridge pins with black dots.

Neck: D shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with small offset dot inlays. Chrome sealed tuning machines with black buttons. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale. .85” deep at the 1st fret and .92” deep at the 12th.

Electronics: Godin under-saddle transducer and custom preamp with volume, mid, treble, and bass controls.

Weight: 5 lbs 8.8 oz

Playability/Sound: The slim satin finish neck plays beautifully at length and up into the cutaway with an easy and familiar shape. The inherent acoustic sound is pretty impressive given the limited size, but translates well through the preamp and 3-band EQ, making it quite versatile for such a simple design.

Case: Includes original gigbag.
