Description
What makes this guitar special: Schecter manufactured the Aviation Collection in 2006 for a period of just over a year. These were made to commemorate some of the more famous American war birds, with finishes resembling the planes they were modeled after. The Flying Tiger model is one of the more popular models of this series, honoring the Air Force with a growly HS T-style guitar equipped with pearl star inlays and an open-jawed blade style headstock. It sounds as killer as it looks, with a push-pull coil tap for added tonal variation. It comes professionally inspected and setup by one of Cream City Music’s in-house luthiers, and will arrive ready to rock right out of the box.
Cosmetic condition: Terrific shape! This piece looks to have been more of a wall-hanger than a player, with only some light surface and playwear scratches present throughout.
Body: Solid body in black finish with graphic finished top and string-through six saddle plate bridge.
Weight: 8 lb, 6 oz
Neck: Nicely rounded 4-bolt neck with white side dots and rosewood fingerboard. Pearl star inlays look great and punctuate the entire fretboard, save for the 12th fret, which holds a pearl USAF logo. Grover tuners function perfectly. 1 5/8” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod works fine.
Electronics: Push-pull coil tapped humbucker in the bridge position (16.38K ohms) and single coil pickup in the neck position (6.08K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and knurled chrome knobs, 1x tone, 1x volume.
Case: Gigbag included.
