Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a unique Melody Maker that has been modded a variety of ways to give it its own distinct identity. The original vintage-style tuning machines have been replaced with more stable gold-plated Grovers. The body has been routed to accommodate a humbucker, which outputs a good amount of hot crisp bite with a little extra vintage jangle. The wiring has been modified as well, to provide a push/pull coil-tap tone control that allows players to strip the heat away from the pickup into a smoother single-coil sound. The original bridge has also been replaced with a slick wraparound chrome Wilkinson bridge. Overall, the neck plays easily, the body is nice and light, and it still remains in good shape for a used guitar.
Condition: This Melody Maker is in very good condition overall. It does show various small nicks, dings, dents, chips, and scratches, but still largely remains in great shape. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
