Description

What makes this guitar special: This is a super clean and versatile Mockingbird with a killer look. The AAA quilted maple top on this guitar looks dynamite, especially under a Trans Red finish that looks a bit more like a lush magenta than anything else. The pickups themselves boast a good amount of range by their positioning alone, but with the addition of a 5-way varitone switch, coil-tapping switches, and a phase reverse on top of the standard volume and tone controls, have a vast range of great tones from single-coil jangle to chunky and crunchy humbuckers. In addition, the body is super clean for being 8 years old and looks like it was very well taken-care of by its previous owner.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does have a few small dings, dents, nicks, scuffs, and light scratches here and there, but is still largely super clean and still looks fantastic for a used guitar. The frets are barely worn, if at all, and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Eastern mahogany (nato) body with AAA quilted maple top in Trans Red finish. Black adjustable wraparound fixed bridge. Black plastic control knobs with silver inserts.

Neck: Slim to medium depth C shape maple neck and 12” radius ebony fretboard with small white pearloid diamond inlays. 24 jumbo frets. Black Grover tuning machines with imperial keys. 24 5/8” scale. 1 11/16” nut width.

Electronics: Uncovered Duncan Designed humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge. 2 x volume, 1 x tone control. 3-way pickup selector. 2 x mini toggle coil tap, 1 x phase reverse. 5-position varitone tone control.

Weight: 7 lbs 12.4 oz

Playability/Sound: The neck on this guitar is as easy as any and plays great head to toe. The Duncan Designed pickups have a good amount of range from their positions alone, which are further extended by the myriad of controls that do everything from stock tone and volume, to coil-tapping and a variety of tone circuits with the varitone switch.

Case: Includes gigbag.
