What makes this guitar special? This ES-345 not only has endless amounts of playability and tone, but has an understated aesthetic that gives it a subtly classy look. Equipped with two ’57 Classic humbuckers, this guitar has a great range of response with the 2x2 controls and traditional 3-way switch, but expands exponentially with the addition of the 6-way Varitone switch and 2-jack stereo output. The neck is slim and comfortable and makes playing any position virtually effortless. To match the understated complexity of its tonal range, it comes appointed with multi-ply top binding, a multi-ply pickguard, and gold plated hardware to add a bit of shine and contrast to the gorgeous Cherry finish. As rich in visual appeal as it is in sound, this exceptional semi-hollow body doesn’t disappoint from any angle.
Condition: This ES-345 is in excellent condition overall. It does have a few light scratches and small dings throughout the body and neck (most scratches in the mid-back and pickguard), but is still in fantastic condition and sounds and plays the same. The frets show very little wear, if any, and still have a lifetime left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Maple/poplar/maple laminate double cutaway body with multi-ply white top binding and single-ply white back binding. 4-ply black pickguard. Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Gold-plated hardware. Black top hat knobs with gold insert and nickel pointers. Cream switch tip. Black pickup rings.
Neck: Slim mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with split parallelogram inlays. Gold-plated Gibson Deluxe vintage-style tuning machines with green keys. 1 11/16” nut width. 24 ¾” scale.
Electronics: Two gold ’57 Classic humbuckers in the bridge and neck. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector. 6-way Varitone switch.
