What makes this guitar special: A wonderful player's grade Melody Maker finished in satin white & upgraded with some intelligent mods, namely the vintage Gretsch Super-Tron humbucker. The previous owner was a huge Ramones fan & not only applied a Ramones decal to the back of the guitar, but was even lucky enough to have Marky Ramone sign the guitar with a black sharpie marker. The guitar has a great vibe to it & has been professionally set up by our own luthier, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with various nicks, dents & dings along with surface scratches.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with white side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Truss rod cover is unoriginal.
Body: Single-cutaway, solid mahogany body with wrap-around tailpiece. Single-ply black pickguard with Melody Maker logo. A black silhouette of a woman with a guitar was painted on the top of the body. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 5.3 oz.
Electronics: Unoriginal Gretsch Super-Tron humbucker with silver bezel - 4.15K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with Gretsch "G" Arrow knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Hardshell case included. The outside of the case has a number of decals stuck to it, which if desired could be removed.
