Description
What makes this guitar special: A nicely upgraded Powerhouse Strat, with some cool appointments and a slick Candy Apple Red finish. The single-coils have been upgraded to Texas Specials, with the exception of the bridge pickup, which has been replaced with a SD Little ’59. It has also been upgraded with Fender locking tuners, and even a Greasebucket tone circuit, so absolutely stellar for its price point. It comes professionally setup by our in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play.
Cosmetic condition: Very good condition- some visible surface and playwear scratches, as well as some pickwear on the pickguard. The active midboost circuit has been removed, so the original battery compartment appears to have been hand routed along one edge, and then filled in with a wooden veneer. The input jack is a little stiff, but works well with no issues.
Body: Contoured double cutaway alder body in Candy Apple Red with black 3-ply pickguard and 6 screw tremolo bridge with individually adjustable saddles.
Weight: 8lb, 8.5oz
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, and 25 1/2" scale length. Headstock features a gold Fender logo with chrome-sealed Fender locking tuners. Maple fingerboard is in excellent shape and frets are as well, with no visible wear. Neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should.
Electronics: Texas Special single-coil pickups in the neck (5.76K ohms) and middle (5.99K ohms) positions, with Seymour Duncan Little ’59 pickup in the bridge position (11.46K ohms). 5-way pickup selector switch, Greasebucket tone circuit, and black skirted knobs, 2x tone, 1x volume.
Case: Gig bag included.
