What makes this guitar special: This gorgeous guitar was recently acquired from a collection of nine Les Pauls hand selected by Yamano specifically for the Japanese market. This particular model has all the hallmarks both players & collectors are looking for in an R9, along with a stunning flame top finished in Lemonburst. A perfect '59 profile neck combined with Burstbuckers makes this beauty an awesome sounding guitar! Yamano Music paperwork written in Japanese is included along with the original COA & Gibson hang tags. Professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall with some minor nicks & dings; mild surface scratches & light buckle rash on the back of the body. The original Custom Shop sticker is still on the pickguard which reads "The Vintage Original Spec Series is manufactured to re-create the mellow appearance and patina of a well cared for vintage instrument." This one certainly fits the bill.
Neck: '59 Profile, one-piece mahogany neck with aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Nicely figured rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body with a beautiful flame maple top finished in Lemonburst. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard still has the original VOS sticker on it. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 12.7 oz. Under 9lbs!
Pickups: Gibson Burstbuckers with aged nickel covers & cream bezels. Bridge - 7.99K ohms; Neck - 7.49K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch & bubble bee caps. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original vintage-style hardshell case. Also included are the original tags, COA & Yamano Music paperwork written in Japanese.
