What’s special about this guitar: This is a beautiful playing Firebird Studio III with a gorgeous Pelham Blue finish and tons of versatility! This guitar features three coil-tapped P-90 pickups. Each volume control has a push/pull pot which when engaged taps the pickup for a brighter tone. Ina addition to that, the tone control also has a push/pull pot for phase reversal of the middle pickup. On top of all of that there is a 5-way selector switch so the player can dial in a huge range of sounds with the multiple pickup configurations and settings. Other features included a non-reverse firebird body shape, gorgeous Pelham Blue finish and a thin and super comfortable 60s SlimTaper neck profile.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent overall condition! There are a few tiny surface scratches and dings throughout the entire guitar but absolutely nothing major! This guitar looks exceptionally clean! The fingerboard and frets are in excellent shape with hardly any play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is nice and straight with super comfortable action and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured non-reverse mahogany body in Pelham Blue finish. Stop-Bar Tailpiece with a Tune-O-Matic bridge. Skirted control knobs with silver inserts, 4-ply white pickguard with firebird motif and a slider switch.
Neck: Thin 60s SlimTaper profile mahogany neck with a baked maple fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1.695” nut. Grover tuners, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Gibson P-90 single-coil pickups in the neck, middle and bridge with three individual volume controls for each pickup and a master tone control. The volume controls each have a push/pull pot for coil tapping and the tone control has a push/pull pot for phase reversal of the middle pickup.
