Description
What makes this guitar special? This is a slick Les Paul that has been modified to make its dark aesthetic that much more potent. The original cream pickup covers have been swapped for chrome, while the cream pickguard and gold top hats have been subbed for 3-ply black and black with silver inserts respectively, giving this a very distinct but sleek look. The P-90s sound great in all three positions but have a good amount of variance between the neck and bridge so it has a surprising amount of versatility. Outside of the purposefully worn finish, there are only a few signs here and there that show the guitar has been played, otherwise remains very clean, but has enough wear to save worry of the first marks.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does posses various small dings and dents as well as light scratches throughout the body and neck, but is still largely clean and still looks and plays great. The frets show only very light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod is functioning.
Body: Single cutaway mahogany body and a maple top in Worn Ebony. Tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Replaced raised 3-ply black pickguard. Replaced chrome pickup covers. Replaced black top hat knobs with silver inserts.
Neck: 60s SlimTaper mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. 1 11/16” nut width. Vintage-style Gibson deluxe tuning machines with green tulip keys.
Electronics: P-90 pickups in the neck and bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.
Weight: 7 lbs 8.4 oz
Playability/Sound: The satin finish 60s neck is very easy to play from the nut to the cutaway and should be a comfortable transition for most players. The P-90s sound great in both positions with round and full chime in the neck and bright jangle in the bridge.
Case: Includes Gibson gigbag.
