Description
What makes this guitar special: Made for a short period in the 1970’s and reissued in brief periods by Gibson in 2007, 2009, and 2011, Gibson RD’s of any era are a rare find. This particular piece is in excellent, near-new condition, and has obviously been case kept and rarely played. The original plastic is still on the pickguard! The RD Standard has the playability of a Les Paul, with the design appointments and resonance of a Firebird or Explorer. This guitar will come professionally setup by our in-house luthier-and will arrive ready to play right out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Excellent condition-no wear to speak of save for some very light playwear and handling scratches.
Body: Single cutaway body with dual rounded edges and dual horns, along with multi-ply black pickguard, tune-o-matic bridge, and chrome stopbar tailpiece.
Weight: 9lb, 6.3oz

Rosewood fingerboard is in outstanding shape, as are the frets, which show no visible wear. Neck is straight and truss rod works as it should.
