What makes this guitar special: Specially built by Bourgeois for the 2012 Summer NAMM show, this gorgeous Custom D-150 is an absolutely amazing dreadnought. It features a premium Adirondak spruce top with premium Brazilian rosewood back & sides, all complimented with hide glue construction. This perfect wood combination creates warm, rich tones with powerful sound projection - in short, everything you could possibly want in a dreadnought. The back of the body is superb - perfectly bookmatched & showing off some stunning variegation in the wood. The inside label is hand signed by Dana Bourgeois. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Overall the guitar is in great shape & looks very clean. However, there is some minor finish disruption in the bottom side, below the strap button, where the binding meets the side (see photos).
Neck: Soft V-shaped mahogany neck with 3-ply ivoroid binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with long pattern square & diamond inlays. Frets are in perfect shape with no wear. 3-ply bound headstock with Brazilian rosewood overlay. Gold Waverly tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 23/32" bone nut; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid Adirondak Spruce top with ivoroid binding & side purfling. Ebony belly bridge with fossil ivory pins. Tor-Tis pickguard & abalone rosette. Solid Brazilian rosewood back & sides with multicolor herringbone center strip. There is no pickup. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 13.2 oz.
