The ASAT owes its birthright to the SC-2, the guitar which in 1983 introduced players to magic of Leo Fender's Jumbo Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups . Like its early sister models, the SC-1 and SC-3, all SC guitars have a lightweight, comfortable feel that belies the power of Leo's MFD pickups. Just ask any fan of old-school G&Ls about an SC-2 and you'll hear that these are some of the best playing and sounding G&Ls ever made. Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition - very clean & looks brand new!
Neck: Very comfortable G&L #1 Classic "C" shape Hard Rock Maple neck with white side-dots. 12" radius rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. 22 medium jumbo, nickel, Plek dressed frets in perfect condition with no wear. USA Sperzel 12:1 ratio, sealed-back tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" bone nut; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in Himalayan Blue. G&L Dual-Fulcrum Vibrato with chrome-plated brass saddles. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 15 oz.
Pickups: G&L Magnetic Field Design (MFD) Jumbo single coils. Bridge - 5.98 ohms; Neck - 4.89K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled, flat-top chrome knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Deluxe black tolex case included.
