What makes this guitar special? Well, besides the fact that it is actually a “Special”, this used guitar is practically new. It is super clean and even has the original pickguard plastic and promo slip on the tailpiece. In addition, our techs have given it a good once over and provided it action that works beautifully with its slim neck. If you’re looking for a great playing Les Paul that has a new look and a used price tag, here you go.
Condition: This Les Paul Special is in excellent condition overall and plays just as well. It does have a few minor surface scratches, but is about as close to new as a used guitar can get. The neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should. The frets show only very light wear and still have a ton of life in them.
Body: Mahogany body in Ebony finish. Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. 5-ply black pickguard. Steel/chrome hardware.
Neck: Mahogany neck with slim profile and bound rosewood fingerboard (w/ dot inlays). Gibson Deluxe tuning machines.
Electronics: Gibson P90 pickups in the neck and bridge. 3-way selector switch, 2 volume, 2 tone control.
Weight: 7.60 lbs
Playability/Sound: Between the slim profile neck and the low action our techs have set it up with, this guitar plays fantastic up and down the neck, single notes or chords. The pickups have great chime and enough tonal variance to give players some room to dial in their sound. Nice, light body with good balance.
