Description
What makes this guitar special: This 2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio 50’s Tribute Humbucker model is a fantastic all-around workhorse guitar. Taking its foundation from the immensely popular 50’s Tribute series models, this Les Paul incorporates the same stripped down, no frills appearance, but uses Gibson PAF-style humbucking pickups instead of P-90s. The lightweight, chambered, mahogany body is incredibly comfortable and the incorporation of the humbucking pickups gives this Les Paul a unique, modern touch to a great vintage inspired guitar. It is still in great shape for a used guitar and features a professional set up by our in-house technicians.
Condition: This Les Paul is in excellent condition overall. It shows only various small nicks, dings, chips, and light scratches throughout, but is otherwise very clean for a used guitar and still looks great. The frets show only light wear and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions perfectly.
Body: Single cutaway mahogany body in Honeyburst finish. Chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Gold top hat knobs with silver inserts. Single-ply raised cream pickguard.
Neck: Studio 50s Rounded profile mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with cream keystone keys. 1 11/16” nut width. 24.75” scale length.
Electronics: Uncovered 490R(Alnico II) in the neck and uncovered 498T humbucker in the bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.
Weight: 7 lbs 8.7 oz
Playability/Sound: The satin finish and familiar profile make the neck very easy to move around. The 490R is surprisingly crisp for a neck pickup, yet still possesses a good amount of body as well. The 498T in the bridge is a bit hotter and brighter with crisp attack.
Case: Includes Epiphone gigbag.
