Description

What makes this guitar special: This is a straight-forward SG with all-around great tone, looks, and playability. The 490T and 490R humbuckers sound nice and full with extra chunk in the neck and bite and chime in the bridge. The neck is easy-playing and, with its lighter finish, moves easily from the nut to the cutaway. In addition, our techs have given it a great setup so it plays beautifully head to toe. The body shows only a few loves marks here and there which saves the next owner the worry of putting marks in it, yet is still clean enough to still look great in whatever setting it ends up in.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does have various nicks, dings, dents, chips, scratches, and other forms of normal wear, but still looks great for a used guitar. The frets show only light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning as it should.

Body: Double cutaway mahogany body in Worn Brown finish. 4-ply black pickguard. Chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece. Black top hat knobs.

Neck: Medium depth C shape mahogany neck and baked maple fingerboard with figured acrylic dot inlays. Vintage-style Kluson tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 24 ¾” scale length.

Electronics: Uncovered Gibson 490R and 490T humbuckers. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.

Weight: 6 lbs 11.1 oz

Playability/Sound: Between the light finish and profile, the neck on this SG is easy-playing and comfortable. The pickups have a lot of chunky response, especially in the neck, and the bridge has fantastic chime and bite.

Case: Includes Gibson hardshell case.
