What makes this guitar special: Martin based this model on Eric Clapton’s guitar of choice for his iconic MTV Unplugged performance. Constructed from East Indian rosewood, the visually stunning 000-28EC produces a well-balanced tone & offers a very comfortable feel, perfect for just about any playing style. Professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, this gorgeous guitar plays & sounds absolutely amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: Very good shape overall, with various surface and playwear scratches throughout the instrument, a few cracks in the lacquer, and some visible fretwear. There is a visible dent on the headstock near the G tuner, an area of discoloration where the arm rests, and some wear in the surface lacquer on the back of the body.
Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with white side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone diamond inlays. Frets are in great shape with some wear, but still a ton of life left in them. Eric Clapton signature inlaid in the 20th fret. Rosewood headstock overlay. Open-back nickel tuners with butterbean knobs in perfect working condition. 1 3/4" bone nut; 24.9" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: OOO size body with ivoroid bound top & back. Solid Sitka spruce top with aged toner & herringbone purfling. Ebony bridge with compensated bone saddle. Small tortoise pickguard & herringbone rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with HD zig zag back purfling. Interior label indicates this guitar is number 16947. Guitar weighs 4lb, 8.2oz.
Electronics: Mounted under-saddle pickup with adjustable volume and end-pin 1/4" output.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
