What makes this guitar special: Besides the eye-popping silver sparkle finish, the first thing you’ll notice about the ASAT Z-3 is the distinctive shape of the Magnetic Field Design Z-Coil pickups designed by Leo Fender himself. These pickups deliver a bright and sparkly top end while offering a robust bottom end, all without any 60-cycle hum. The Z-3 maximizes sustain with Leo’s Saddle-Lock bridge which transfers string energy right into the body end-grain for an incredibly resonant instrument. Professionally set up & ready to go straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall with the exception of one small chip in the finish where the neck joins the body on the treble side. There are some pick scratches on the guard, but the rest of the guitar is very clean.
Neck: Hard rock maple neck with Modern Classic profile. 9 1/2" radius maple fingerboard with abalone dot inlays. 22 medium jumbo frets in great shape with no wear. Chrome locking tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" bone nut; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid alder body in silver sparkle finish with matching headstock. Leo Fender-designed G&L Saddle-Lock bridge with chrome-plated brass saddles. Mirror pickguard. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 12.8 oz.
Pickups: Leo Fender designed G&L MFD Z-Coil hum-cancelling pickups. You’ll find plenty of power in the Z-coil pickups, but what’s surprising is how glassy and detailed they become as you roll back the volume. What’s more, the ASAT Z-3 includes a push/pull tone pot to allow neck+bridge or all three pickups together. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs; 5-way selector switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
