Cosmetic Condition: Limited to only 100 guitars worldwide & created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Gibson Custom Shop reissue program. This highly collectible Les Paul Custom has a 1-piece solid mahogany body, 1-piece mahogany neck & a 1-piece ebony fingerboard. Everything about this gorgeous reissue screams supreme quality, from the CustomBucker pickups to the framed, hand-made, one-of-a-kind Certificate of Authenticity, to the engraved "20th Anniversary" medallion over the pickup switch access. All of the appointments & attention to details make this guitar one of the most historically accurate reissues of the iconic 1957 "Black beauty" Les Paul Custom to date, right down to the hide glue construction & long neck tenon. Cosmetically the guitar is in fabulous condition - very clean & like new with only some mild surface scratches. It still has the Custom Shop sticker on the pickguard! It has been professionally set up by our own master luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it even plays like a brand new guitar! The guitar is so clean in fact, that after we photographed it we placed it back in its case to keep it clean & protected. It's not even on display on our showroom & will remain in its case until sold. Original retail for this amazing guitar was over $9000, but one lucky person will have it for a fraction of that price. This guitar is a real gem & a definite must-have for any collector!
Neck: Chunky, one-piece mahogany neck with a period-correct rounded profile. Hide-glued mahogany neck with extended neck tenon for exceptional sustain & response. Cream binding with tortoise side-dots. One-piece ebony fingerboard with beautiful, cloud-like, mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are in perfect condition with absolutely no wear. 5-ply bound headstock with mother of pearl inlays. Gold "waffle back" tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid, one-piece mahogany body with maple top. 7-ply top binding & 5-ply back binding. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge. The gold hardware on this guitar is spectacular, with absolutely no wear. 5-ply black pickguard still has the original Custom Shop sticker on it. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 3.5 oz.
Pickups: Loaded with a pair of CustomBucker Alnico III humbucking pickups - Gibson's most historically accurate PAF copy ever, designed to give you absolutely dead-on '57 Les Paul tone! Bridge - 8.45K ohms; Neck - 8.06K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. 3-way toggle switch with vintage CTS potentiometers and bumble bee capacitors. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Custom Shop vintage-style brown hardshell case with plush pink interior. Also included are all the original hang tags, a pair of white gloves for handling, a white cloth sack that the guitar slips into with Gibson's Custom Historic logo on the outside, a replacement black pickup switch access cover, and of course the framed, hand-made, one-of-a-kind Certificate of Authenticity in its original box.
