Description
What makes this guitar special: The 50th Anniversary ES-335 faithfully follows the unique specifications of the breed, including the arched, laminated maple top and back with spruce braces, cedar rim liners, and a maple center block with period-correct “window.” Its neck has an authentic ’63 profile and its dark, hand-selected rosewood fingerboard is inlaid with the pearloid blocks that distinguish it in the evolution of the 335. A pair of Burstbucker pickups, made in the tradition of the hallowed PAF humbucker, ensure classic tone. Hand-sprayed nitrocellulose lacquer and treated to Gibson’s VOS process for a gently aged look. Vintage-correct aged binding, five-ply pickguard, and black top-hat knobs are the icing on the cake.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean & like new with some mild surface scratches. There was a minor crack in the back of the headstock that was professionally repaired by our luthier. He did a fantastic job & you can hardly see the repair. It's purely cosmetic & does not affect playability or sound quality. A gorgeous representation of a vintage 1963 ES-335 with true to spec details; similar to the one Clapton played with Cream. The cherry finish is very bold & vibrant, and the maple figuring in the body is quite stunning indeed! Overall this is a great guitar that has been professionally set up by us & plays perfectly!
