Description
What makes this guitar special? This is a nice and clean hollow body Electromatic with great tone and playability and a classic Gretsch look to boot. The pickups have a boat load of classic Gretsch tone with a big, warm, and rich response in the neck and the hot and bright jangle in the bridge. They also feature the earlier metal bezels before they were changed to plastic on the current models. The body is nice and resonant acoustically and adds in a bit of traditional hollow body sound to the overall tone. The neck is easy, the body is clean, and it comes in the most classic of Gretsch colors: Orange.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does have various small dings, dents, nicks, and light scratches, but largely remains very clean and still looks fantastic for a used guitar. The frets have only light wear and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.
Body: Single cutaway double-bound hollow body in Orange finish. Raised silver plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo. Adjusto-matic bridge with rosewood base. Bigsby tailpiece. Chrome G arrow control knobs.
Neck: Medium-depth maple neck and 12” radius bound rosewood fingerboard with figured acrylic neo-classic thumbnail inlays. 1.6875” nut. 22 medium jumbo frets. 24.5” scale length. Vintage-style tuning machines.
Electronics: Black Top Filter’Tron pickups in the neck and bridge. 1 x master volume, 2 x volume, 1 x tone. 3-way pickup selector.
Weight: 7 lbs 5.5 oz
Playability/Sound: This is a very easy neck to play and will be a comfortable and easy transition for players who prefer both D and C shape necks. The pickups sound great in all three positions, starting warm and rich in the neck and ending up bright, hot, and crisp in the bridge.
Case: Includes Gretsch hardshell case.
