What makes this bass special: An absolutely gorgeous vintage reissue of Hofner's 500/1 Cavern Bass from '61. Features include a super chunky maple neck with vertical headstock logo, flat body back & Diamond pickups spaced closer together. Delivering that classic Hofner tone & professionally set up by our own luthier, so it's in perfect playing condition.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean with only mild surface scratches & a few very tiny dings here & there.
Neck: Chunky maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in perfect condition with no wear. Open-back strip tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Violin-shaped hollow body with 4-ply bound top & back. Solid spruce top with maple back & sides. Trapeze tailpiece with adjustable ebony bridge & pearloid pickguard. Bass weighs 5 lbs 2 oz.
Pickups: Hofner Diamond pickups with nickel covers & black bezels. Dual volume controls with "tea cup" knobs; on/off switches for each pickup along with rhythm/solo switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with Hofner booklet & leather strap.
