Description

What makes this guitar special: This guitar aptly looks, feels, and sounds the part in relation to its title. Between the look and feel of the finish, the chunkier neck feel, aged plastic parts, and distinct headstock logo, is has a ton of throwback character that can often be hard to create genuinely, but Fender has done a brilliant job with this model. The neck is nice and chunky yet isn’t a full baseball bat, and still has a familiar C shape so its universal playability is maintained. The pickups sound absolutely fantastic and have a considerable amount of character over the standard and deluxe models in current production (see Playability/Sound for more detail). The body is super clean and it plays fantastic top to bottom thanks to the setup our techs have given it, making a phenomenal all-around package for the price, considering it looks nearly new.

Condition: This Strat is in excellent condition overall, if not better. It has very few marks outside of small dings and dents and light scratches to show that it’s been played, but otherwise it’s super clean and still looks, plays, and sounds fantastic. The frets show no wear whatsoever and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod is functioning.

Body: Double cutaway contoured alder body in 3 Color Sunburst lacquer finish. 3-ply vintage-bevel white pickguard. 6-saddle American Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge. Aged white plastic control knobs.

Neck: Chunky mid ‘60s C shape maple neck and 7.25” radius round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. 1.650” bone nut. Vintage-style tuning machines.

Electronics: American Vintage ’65 Gray Bottom single-coil Strat pickups in the neck, middle, and bridge. 1 x master volume, 2 x tone controls. 5-way pickup selector.

Weight: 7 lbs 11.8 oz

Playability/Sound: The mid ‘60s neck has a nice full-in-hand feel without being a full baseball bat but will be perfect for players who like a little more heft in their necks. The American Vintage Gray-Bottom pickups sound absolutely fantastic and have a boatload of character. Think half modern Strat sound mixed with a bit more hyped midrange and slightly more rounded pop in the upper mids for a healthy dose of vintage vibe.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
