The herringbone purfling, firestripe pickguard & abalone inlays are a few of the accoutrements that make this guitar pop. The Indian rosewood back & sides are of course not typical of this model & are quite stunning, showing off some truly eye-catching variegation in the wood. This beautiful guitar has been professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds amazing. Wonderful upgrades on a true American classic & a definite must have for any Gibson aficionado.
Cosmetic Condition: Exceptionally clean, like new condition with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Wide, flat profile mahogany neck with ivoroid binding & black side-dots. Beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard with abalone inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Abalone floral headstock inlay & custom truss rod cover. Gold Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. 1.725" bone nut; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Slope shoulder dreadnought in vintage sunburst finish. Solid Sitka spruce top with ivoroid binding & herringbone purfling. Rosewood bridge with abalone inlays, cream end pins & compensated bridge. Firestripe pickguard & abalone rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with ivoroid binding.
