Description

What makes this guitar special: This is an awesome Les Paul Traditional. Pretty straight forward in terms of the specs offered that year, this guitar features a gorgeous flamed maple top that possess an almost 3D quality that is further accentuated by the Honey Burst finish. Other than the eye catching looks, this is a fantastic playing guitar with a killer sound to boot. The 57 Classic and Classic Plus pickups tap into the timeless PAF tone that is so sought after, with an inherent warmth and robust response. The Classic Plus is a little bit higher output, with great articulation but retains its smooth vintage character. Overall this is wonderful guitar that sounds just as great as it looks. Plus, it comes with a professional in-house setup, so it plays beautifully as well.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does possess some light surface scratches as well as a minor ding here or there, but is in fantastic shape for a used instrument. The frets show very little, if any, playing wear and have tons of playing life left. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions perfectly.

Body: Single cutaway non-weight relived mahogany body with carved flamed maple cap in Honey Burst finish. Single-ply cream binding. Chrome Nashville-style Tune-o-Matic bridge and chrome stop bar tailpiece. Single-ply raised cream pickguard.

Neck: Thick, “Late 50s” C shape neck profile (.90” at the 1st fret, 1.00” at the 12th fret). Bound 22 fret rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays and black side dots. Commemorative “120th Anniversary” inlay at the 12th fret. Mother-of-Pearl Gibson logo headstock inlay. Gibson Deluxe Keystone tuners with green buttons. 1 11/16” nut width. 24 ¾” scale length.

Electronics: Aftermarket chrome covered Gibson 57 Classic pickup in the neck position and 57 Classic Plus humbucker in the bridge. Dual volume and tone controls with gold top hat knobs. 3 way toggle switch.

Weight: 8 lbs. 11 oz.

Playability/Sound: The larger neck profile is does have a bit more substance than other Gibson necks, but it is by no means overbearing or uncomfortable to play. The 57 Classic and Classic Plus pickups deliver the classic PAF tone that is so sought after, with a warm and robust response and smooth articulation.

Case: Includes a Gator hard shell case.
