What makes this guitar special: Limited to a run of only 16 total, this FSR Gretsch has a bunch of unique features that were all derived from similar models and packed into one. For starters, the size alone is unique, as instead of the traditional 17” lower bout width, this one has been shrunk a full inch shorter to bring it to 16”, providing not only a different acoustic sound, but a bit of extra playability to boot. It also ends up with a slightly shorter scale as well, trimming down to 24 3/5” instead of the 25 ½” the original has, both aspects of which are closer to that of an Electromatic than a White Falcon. It also features the pre-’58 vertical headstock logo most prominently used on early-era Penguins and Falcons. Other than that, most of the other aspects have stayed true to the standard Falcon design, including a gold Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, space control bridge, gold hardware and bezels, and of course, comes outfitted with two fantastic-sounding FilterTron pickups that provide as much tonal body and character as they do grit and clarity. Plus, it comes with its original hardshell case and paperwork, plus a professional setup so it plays as great as it sounds.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It shows very few marks outside of a few very minor dings and light scuffs and surface scratches and is otherwise in fantastic condition for a used guitar. The frets show only light wear if any and still have a lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double bound single cutaway hollow body with laminated maple back and sides and an arched laminated maple top in White finish. Raised gold plexi pickguard with reverse embossed Gretsch logo and black lined falcon. Gold Space Control bridge with a rosewood base and Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece. Bound F holes. Gold plastic bezels. 16” lower bout width. Trestle bracing. Gold Grestch Jeweled G Arrow control knobs. Gold hardware.
Neck: Slim to medium depth C shape maple neck and 12” bound ebony fingerboard with Mother of Pearl hump block inlays. Gold Grover Imperial tuning machines. Vertical Gretsch logo in Orange Sparkle and matching Orange Sparkle truss rod cover. 1 11/16” nut width. 24 3/5” scale. .84” deep at the 1st fret and 1.0” at the 12th.
Electronics: FilterTron pickups in the neck and bridge. 1 x master volume, 1 x neck volume, 1 x bridge volume control. 1 x tone switch. 3-way pickup selector.

Playability/Sound: The smaller body width of this FSR is quite a bit easier to move around than the standard larger body of its White Falcon relative. The neck is just as easy to play though, with a comfortable shape and depth that most players will be comfortable with. The FilterTrons mixed with this body style produce a ton of character with thick, yet crisp tone that takes as well to clean tones as much as they do overdrive.
