What makes this guitar special: Recently acquired from the original owner who purchased the guitar brand new this year as part of a "hand picked" series of Les Paul VOS models. The neck on this R8 is not quite as beefy as on most & feels more like an R9. Also, most R8s have plain tops whereas this one was hand picked & is absolutely gorgeous with lots of flame figuring. The guitar is under 9 lbs & is very resonant with tons of warmth & sustain. Professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, so it not only looks like a brand new guitar, but it plays like one too!
Cosmetic Condition: Fantastic condition - super clean & looks brand new!
Neck: One-piece mahogany neck with cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are in perfect condition with no wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: One-piece mahogany body with flame maple top & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard has some light pick scratches, but is still in great shape. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 11.2 oz.
Pickups: Gibson '57 Classic Humbuckers with nickel covers & cream bezels. Bridge - 7.85K ohms; Neck - 7.84K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch & bumble bee caps. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA, Gibson hang tags & medallion.
