What makes this guitar special: A gorgeous piece in near-mint condition, with all the rich and full-bodied sound you’d expect from a Custom Shop Martin. This high-quality piece is one of a few made in a special run for Wade’s Guitar Shop in Milwaukee, and features a gorgeous African Mahogany back and sides with a beautifully variegated Sitka spruce top finished in a dark 1935 style sunburst. The build quality is absolutely superb too-with dovetailed neck joint construction, and a gloss finish that nicely highlights the quality of the woodgrain. This piece comes professionally setup by the experts at Cream City Music, and will arrive ready to play right out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Excellent shape-some nominal surface and handling scratches, as well as some light pickwear on the pickguard, and one very small finish blemish visible under particular lighting on the back of the body.
Body: Double bound African Mahogany back and sides in gloss finish with solid Sitka Spruce top in 1935-style dark sunburst. Multi ring ivoroid rosette and ivoroid purfling. Tortoise pickguard. Ebony bridge with black bridge pins. Lower bout width measures 15 1/4" across with 4” depth. Upper bout width measures 11 1/2" across with 3 1/2" depth.

Neck: C-shaped, borderline Soft V shaped satin finished mahogany neck with white side dots and pearl dot inlays. 1 3/4" scale length, 25.4” scale length. Rosewood headstock overlay with gold CF Martin logo and open back tuners with butterbean tuning buttons. Ebony fingerboard is in terrific shape. Frets show only very light wear in the first position. Neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should.
Playability/Tone: Great projection, and resonant, warm tone. Excellent tonal balance with a full and potent midrange. This piece sounds fantastic when played fingerstyle, and holds up nicely to strumming as well, with a well-rounded low end when you dig into it, and just the right amount of high end chime to fill everything out.
