Description
The Cosmodio Splinter Twin is a Time Modulation Workstation built for players who want full creative control over short delay lines and time-based textures. If you're into flanger, chorus, vibrato, slapback, or want to push into less-explored territory-like through-zero phasing or randomized poly-chorus-the Splinter Twin is for you. It's not a multi-effect in the traditional sense; it's a tool for building and bending those classic effects into completely new shapes.
At its core, Splinter Twin gives you precise control over delay time-from 0 to 340ms-and the ability to modulate that line in multiple ways. MOD SPEED, DEPTH, and SHAPE parameters unlock a wide palette of effects, from familiar to downright strange. The analog preamp brings just the right kind of character; push it and you'll get warm saturation or back it off for clean headroom. The feedback control even has a smart footswitch for live manipulation, making it a great option for ambient builds, experimental textures, or evolving rhythmic patterns. Add to that selectable dry signal routing, and you're also able to get through-zero phase cancellation and other spatial tricks.
Despite how deep it can go, the layout stays straightforward, and the footprint is pedalboard friendly thanks to top-mounted jacks. The faceplate artwork is a nice touch, but what really stands out is how responsive and musical it feels in practice. We've spent time with it and can confidently say-it's one of the most flexible and inspiring delay-based tools we've come across in a while.
