This is a brand new set of Dean Markley Blue Steel Lights .009 - .042 strings. Dean Markley strings are cryogenically frozen down to -320 degrees. The purpose of this process is to tighten the molecules minimizing microscopic gaps. This in turn removes transient frequencies that produce harsh highs and muddy lows creating a more consistent string with a longer life.
