The EAE x Benson Halberd + Germanium Boost is a killer two-in-one pedal designed for players who want a flexible, high-quality drive and boost setup without overloading their board. Whether you're a gigging guitarist or a home player who appreciates smart design, this one brings a ton of tonal range with a lot of care behind it. Built as a collab between Electronic Audio Experiments and Benson Amps, it pairs two standout circuits-the Halberd Overdrive and the Germanium Boost-into one seriously versatile box.
Onboard, you get transistor-driven overdrive with the Halberd's signature clarity and heft, plus a beautifully tuned Germanium Boost with automatic biasing. Each side is independently switchable, and you can route them however you want thanks to the separate inputs and outputs. Run them in series, swap the order, throw pedals in between, or split them up completely; it's built to handle it all, whether you're chasing rich stacked gain or colorful standalone tones.
The Halberd + Germanium Boost feels solid underfoot and is easy to dial in, making it an easy fit for any board setup. Thoughtful touches like the smart switching and Bryan Aiken's custom medieval-floral artwork really round out the experience.
