The Epiphone Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton in Cherry Red is a modern take on a legendary semi-hollowbody, built with gigging players and studio musicians in mind. Designed in collaboration with Gem Archer (Oasis, Beady Eye, High Flying Birds), this is the exact style of Sheraton he still plays today. Epiphone pulled out all the stops here; this model blends vintage elegance with Custom Shop-level detail, making it an easy choice for anyone who wants pro specs without the Custom Shop price.
You're working with a 5-ply layered maple/poplar body and a solid maple center block to keep things tight and feedback-resistant. A pair of Gibson USA Mini Humbuckers give you focused mids and that bright-but-bold semi-hollow chime that still bites when you need it. You've got individual volume and tone controls, wired with 500k CTS pots and Mallory caps, so the response is smooth and musical. Hardware is all gold, and the ABR-1 bridge and trapeze tailpiece hold tuning and sustain right where they should be.
The neck is a one-piece mahogany with a comfortable 60s C profile. It's capped with a rosewood board and 22 frets, with beautifully executed block and triangle inlays that make it feel like something twice its price. Grover Rotomatic tuners with Milk Bottle buttons and a Graph Tech nut handle tuning stability like champs. We've had these in the shop and they punch way above their weight. This is one of those guitars that just feels sorted right out of the case.
