This guitar is the 30th anniversary recreation of Kirk Hammett's legendary KH-3 Spider guitar played by Kirk throughout the '90s on tours supporting the critically acclaimed Black Album. Wanting a single cutaway guitar with the features of his KH-2, Kirk developed this guitar with ESP in 1991, and it's been coveted by metal fans ever since. This KH-3 has been masterfully crafted to make it not only a highly accurate replica of Kirk's original KH-3, but to make it an amazing performer as well. Built with a neck-through-body construction, this guitar has a very sturdy and durable in-hand feel, as well as a substantial amount of natural sustain. It's also been equipped with a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge that adds sustain and clarity, and can handle loads of whammy bar abuse without going out of tune. The playability of this guitar is unparalleled as well - an extra-fast thin U-shaped neck and a partially scalloped ebony fingerboard makes high-octane shredding, bending, and riffing a breeze.
