It also features a neck-through-body construction that gives it truckloads of sustain and a sturdy, substantial feel. Complete with an ultra-fast Thin "U" shaped neck, a Macassar ebony fingerboard, and 24 XJ stainless steel frets, this LTD was made for playing scorching lead riffs.
Powering this beast is a single active EMG James Hetfield Humbucker that blends the colossal wall of sound you'd expect from an active 81 with the punch of a passive humbucker. This pickup sounds so good on its own that you'll never need to fuss with it - that's why ESP only included a single master volume control.
