As part of Fender’s 10 for ’15 Collection, a series that features limited run (500) guitars that embody both modern and traditional design elements, the Fender Limited Edition American Standard Stratocaster Oiled Ash is sure to be a neo-classic. This aptly named guitar is built like an American Standard and sounds like an American Standard, but has a look straight out of the ‘70s and a delightfully transparent finish that looks as organic as it sounds. With a thin coat of hand-rubbed oil that allows the body to breathe, this Strat’s natural resonance and projection is noticeably improved. To round out the ‘70s aesthetic, Fender has also included a tinted neck and aged plastic parts to match the gorgeous grains of its ash body.
