This Custom Shop Strat sports a Journeyman Relic aging treatment, giving it the aesthetic of a guitar that's changed hands throughout the years, receiving light play, minor nicks and dings, and gentle wear. This soft aging paired with the Closet Classic hardware that shows subtle use imbues this axe with plenty of vintage mojo. It also plays exceptionally well, courtesy of its rounded Custom 1969 "U" shaped neck that fills the hand nicely without feeling too substantial.
Not only does this Custom Shop '69 Stratocaster look and play wonderfully, but its tone will take you right back to the golden era of Fender. Starting with its solid alder body, this Strat projects a bright, resonant sound with punchy upper mids, excellent sustain, and a sharp attack. Its maple neck and fingerboard give it enhanced clarity and 'snap,' helping solos and leadwork cut through the mix with ease. The real powerhouse of this guitar, though, is its set of hand-wound '69 Stratocaster pickups that churn out spot-on vintage Strat tones. These pickups are sweet, chimey, and bell-like, just like a '69 Strat should be, but with a bit of added punch and fullness.
