Fender's Custom Shop '57 Stratocaster Relic pays homage to the early days of rock 'n' roll, when the electric guitar was taking center stage in the hands of legendary musicians and reshaping the sound of modern music. This '57 Stratocaster Relic boasts the same sound and feel of the very first '57 Strats to leave the Fender factory, but with a few player-centric modifications under the hood.
Crafted with a two-piece, hand-selected alder body, this Strat has a full sound with a spanky top-end. Not only does the body on this guitar produce an excellent resonance, but its Relic lacquer finish gives it the look and feel of a well-loved, road-worn instrument. Complete with an impressively comfortable 1957 "V" shaped quartersawn maple neck, riffing on this Custom Shop is nothing short of addicting.
Fender equipped this '57 Stratocaster with hand-wound '57 pickups that deliver dead-on vintage Strat tones. These pickups sport Custom Shop Fat '50s wiring, giving them a classic voice with chiming highs, full-bodied lows, and tamed mids for a sweetened, less harsh sound. And, thanks to the middle pickup's reverse-wound design, this Strat eliminates single-coil hum when in positions 2 and 4.
Spec'd out with a Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, a bone nut, and a wing string tree, this Fender Custom Shop '57 Stratocaster Relic will take you right back to the golden era of Fender.
