The Hitmaker features an alder body, giving it a bright tone with tight lows, punchy upper mids, and plenty of sustain. Its body is slightly smaller and more contoured than a typical '60s Strat, making it exceptionally comfortable for longer gigs and extended practice sessions. The gorgeous Olympic White lacquer gives it an authentic appearance, matching the finish Nile sprayed on his Strat shortly after he acquired it in the early days of Chic.
Players will love the Hitmaker's '59 "C" shaped one-piece maple neck and 9.5" radius maple fingerboard which fits the hand perfectly - not too thick, not too thin - and plays with a buttery-smooth response. All 21 medium jumbo frets feel excellent without any sharp edges, and the satin-finished neck is nice and silky. And, thanks to its locking Sperzel tuners, this beauty offers rock-solid tuning stability, allowing for deep bends and massive vibrato.
Powering the Nile Rodgers Hitmaker is a trio of single-coils specially voiced to accurately replicate the quack, chime, and bell-like clarity of Rodgers' own Hitmaker.
