Built around three hand-selected NOS BC184C transistors, it can deliver huge, sustaining distortion and fuzz that holds up even at low volumes. But it's not just about raw power, backing off the Heat and Distortion controls lets you dial in more focused tones reminiscent of vintage rock recordings, from classic Page-style grit to rich, ambient textures in the vein of early Floyd.
With its high-impedance input and low-impedance output, the Mas Malo is designed to play nice with a wide range of guitars, effects, and amps-no worries about where it lands in your signal chain. Top-mounted jacks keep the footprint small, and its voicing offers a strong midrange presence without feeling boxy or overbearing.
